These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Caretaker mobile application ("App"), website (www.caretaker-app.com), and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by LIFE LONG TECHNOLOGY & SCIENCE LTD ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), a company registered in England and Wales with company number 16283032.
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
Description of the Service
The Service enables Caretakers to monitor the well-being of up to four CareRecipients through:
- Automated check-ins via SMS, push notifications and voice calls
- Emergency contact widgets on device lock screens
- Live location sharing
- Advanced alerts and reminders for important events
- Family profiles for multiple recipients
- Customizable notifications and dashboards
- Multi-language support
The Service is not a substitute for professional medical advice, emergency services, or healthcare.
Eligibility and User Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Account credentials. Caretakers must obtain consent from CareRecipients before creating their profiles or sharing their data.
User Conduct and Obligations
You agree to use the Service lawfully and not to:
- Misuse features, such as sending false alerts or sharing data without consent.
- Interfere with the Service (e.g., hacking, transmitting viruses).
- Attempt unauthorized access to other accounts, servers, or networks.
- Use the Service for commercial purposes without our consent.
- Violate third-party rights, including privacy.
Intellectual Property
The Service, including all content, features, and designs, is owned by us or our licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Service for personal purposes only.
Privacy and Data Handling
Our Privacy Policy details how we collect, use, and protect data. We are GDPR compliant and use encrypted communications.
Email Communications
- Consent: By creating an Account, you consent to receive transactional and marketing emails.
- Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the "unsubscribe" link.
- Frequency: Marketing emails limited to 1-4 per month.
Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
- Losses from reliance on the Service.
- Third-party actions (e.g., carrier failures).
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims arising from your misuse of the Service.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for violations. You may discontinue use at any time by deleting your Account.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Unresolved disputes shall be resolved in the courts of London, United Kingdom.
